AbstractAbstract
[en] A β--γ coincidence system using a thin plastic scintillator and a NaI(Tl) well crystal has been constructed for 131I environmental measurements. A background of 0.01 cpm with a system efficiency of 11 percent has been achieved. The detection limit is 0.08 pCi/l for a 100-minute counting period and otherwise usual conditions. (U.S.)
