AbstractAbstract
[en] The three-body problem is discussed in terms of what has been found out about the structure of matter from pre-three-body quantum mechanics, which essentially reduces to the solution of two-body problems in term of information obtained from more elementary two-body systems. Mitra's three-body model and Faddeev's mathematical formulation are discussed. Recent research into the three-body problem is also discussed. (R.L.)
