[en] A general survey of quality-assurance (QA) practices as they relate to the construction phase of nuclear power plants is presented. The article briefly outlines the evolution of construction QA requirements, describes construction practices and organizational relations that help identify the unique construction-phase features that affect QA practices, identifies some of the principal requirements and programmatic problems involving construction, and discusses potential trends and suggested guidelines for the implementation of particular practices.
