AbstractAbstract
[en] To improve the accuracy of the BWR core simulator, a new coarse mesh equation and a new modified one-group diffusion scheme were devised independently and their efficiencies were confirmed through comparisons with ordinary few-group fine mesh calculations. These two methods were then combined to establish an effective calculational scheme for multidimensional BWR core analysis. To confirm the effectiveness of the new scheme, two- and three-dimensional test codes were developed and comparisons were made of accuracy and run time with the conventional few-group fine mesh calculations.
