AbstractAbstract
[en] Six spectrograms of the supernova which was detected in NGC 4414 in April 1974 are discussed. These spectra, covering the light-maximum phase, closely resemble the spectra of the type-I fast supernovae 1971i and 1972e, and suggest that the present supernova is also of type-I fast and reached its light maximum around May 1. Special attention is called to the presence of fine spectral features (width <= 3000 km s-1). The rapid shifts of the wavelengths of some prominent features are found to start already in the pre-maximum phase. (auth.)
