[en] The main features of radiation injury to farm animals are described, including the course of radiation sickness, the quantitative aspects of the dose-effect relationship, and the role of the type of radiation, of dose rate, and of fractionation of irradiation in radiation injury of animals. The effects of ionizing radiations on agricultural animals and fowl are described separately for esternal irradiation alone and for a combination of external irradiation and incorporated radionuclides which is of greatest practical interest
