[en] The Slavnov transformations for a class of non-abelian gauge theories are considered, where the gauge-breaking term depends on the Faddeev-Popov ghost. The connection between Slavnov invariance and physical unitarity is discussed. It is argued that Slavnov invariance in these cases does not guarantee unitarity. Requirements on the algebra of the generators of the Slavnov transformations can provide crucial constraints. (Auth.)
