AbstractAbstract
[en] Ammonio-haloid phosphors activated with In, Tl and Sn have been synthesized; their excitation and emission spectra have been measured at room temperature within the spectral region of 2 to 7 eV. Along with the ''activator'' A-, B- and C-bands on the long-wave tail of the exciton absorption bands, activator luminescence excitation bands have been detected. These bands, which are similar to D-bands in alkali-haloid phosphors, are interpreted as ''activator excitons''
