AbstractAbstract
[en] The reaction mechanism acting in the 112Cd(p,p1) reaction was confirmed at 10 MeV by measuring the angular correlation between the inelastic proton and the photon from the 'one phonon' state. The measurements entailed a set of proton angles for each of five gamma angles. The interpolation of the theoretical curves and the logical structure of the experimental procedure followed are outlined. A new least squares smoothing procedure which enables possible extraction of the correlation surface is discussed. The role of such measurements in reaction theory is outlined. (author)
