AbstractAbstract
[en] Radiophysical trials and studies of a hose apparatus for intracavitary gamma-therapy of malignant tumors are described. The trials have been carried out to check the protective qualities of the radiation head and of the transporting and recharging container; to determine the durability and shock resistance of the radiation sources during their transportation from storage to the devices used to place the sources in the irradiated cavity (endostats) and back; to evaluate the radiation situation in the working room and the adjacent premises during the irradiation session as well as during the transportation of radiation sources from storage to the endostats and back; and to check the operation of the system for monitoring the location of radiation sources
