AbstractAbstract
[en] A new therapeutic table for rotational, sectorial and potential irradiation to treat malignant neoplasm has been developed. The table has seven independent movements enabling the patient to be placed in any position and assuring maximum convenience for both the patient and for the service personnel. The dorsal section of the table having a sliding panel made of transparent material enables centering to be made according to the marks on the patient's body in places of entrance and exit of the radiation beam center and allows to decrease the radiation dose on the skin surface at the point of radiation exit. The possibility of applying the radiation dose to the irradiated volume of the body with a single movement of the support panel assures uniform distribution of the dose in time within the irradiation sector and precludes deformation of the dose distribution owing to repeated rocking and reversal of movement of the support panel. The table is easy to control and convenient to use. It meets the presentday requirements to radiation therapy and compares favorably with the known foreign facilities of this type
