AbstractAbstract
[en] Reduction of the nitrogroup of p-nitrobenzoic acid and its salts on the Pd-, Ru- and Rh- catalysts has zeroth order in the substrate, first in hydrogen and it is not inhibited by the reaction product. Catalyst activity in the nitrogroup reduction decreases in the series Pd>>Rh>Ru, while that of the aromatic ring hydrogenation is Rh>>Ru>>Pd. Optimum conditions of the catalytic synthesis of p-aminobenzoic acid: 0.5% Pd/C, 90-120 deg , 30 gage atmosphere, aqueous suspension. The reduction rate versus pressure is presented
