AbstractAbstract
[en] Various anomalies occur in the irradiation of zirconium, particularly the low incidence of void formation. Various suggestions have been made for either failure to produce voids or mechanisms for their disappearance. Work on the Zr-Ti system which shows complete miscibility and sensitivity to anisotropic growth is reported, together with its extension to pure zirconium and studies on various impurities in trace amounts. Other properties related to the irradiation studies were also investigated. (author)
