AbstractAbstract
[en] Diffusion and dislocation creep results obtained on the magnesium alloys used for the UK Mark I (Magnox) reactor fuel elements are briefly described. The use of such data in the assessment of the design and service performance of fuel elements is give, and it is shown that diffusion creep is the predominant deformation mode under most service conditions.
