AbstractAbstract
[en] Radioprotective effects of chemicals have been studied using repeated neutron irradiation of mice at a dose of 3x100 rad and 2- and 4-day intervals between the treatments. Higher survival and efficiency of chemical radioprotection (Cystaphos-44.8%, cystamine-32%, mexamine-21%) have been observed for such mode of irradiation as compared to the single treatment with the same dose. This effect is attributed to the recovery processes taking place in the critical organs - the intestine and bone marrow
