AbstractAbstract
[en] The content and synthesis of certain phospholipids was studied in the lungs of rats after single inhalation of polymeric plutonium nitrate solution (0.26 μ Ci per 1 g of lung tissue). The chanqes in phospholipid metabolism in plutonium-treated lungs were represented by an increased content and inhibition of synthesis of these substances. All phospholipid fractions, and to the most extent phosphatidyl choline, accounted for the increase in total phospholipids observed from 2 weeks to 2 months after the treatment
