AbstractAbstract
[en] New results of He and Ne atomic beams scattered from the (001) face of LiF are presented. The angular distribution of the inelastically scattered intensity shows pronounced minima that are identified with the occurrence of bound-state resonances for inelastic processes. The extent to which the effect can be used to determine the phonon spectrum at the surface is discussed
