[en] The high energy (2 to 18 keV) detector system of the Ariel V x-ray sky survey instrument has been used to observe the faint, high galactic latitude x-ray source 3 U 0901-09 and to reduce the positional uncertainty of the source. The results reported here reduce this uncertainty by an order of magnitude and support the previous identification of 3 U 0901-09 with the rich cluster of galaxies, Abell 754. The possibility that A761 might also be a source of significant x-ray emission has also been examined but the present observations do not support this theory. (U.K.)
