AbstractAbstract
[en] We discuss here a new mechanism for energy loss by stars via a γγ collision which for temperatures approximately-greater-than m/sube/ is several orders of magnitude more efficient than the direct reaction γγ → νnu-bar. For most (but perhaps not all) stellar densities and temperatures the energy loss rate is, however, still small compared with that due to γe → eνnu-bar and e+e- → νnu-bar
