AbstractAbstract
[en] The neutron-capture cross sections for 1860s and 1870s have been measured in the energy range up to 150 keV, corresponding to stellar temperatures up to approximately 18 x 108K. Knowledge of these cross sections enables the calibration of the 187Re → 1870s nuclear β-decay clock and hence a new radiogenic determination of the age of the Universe. (U.K.)
