AbstractAbstract
[en] A technique of explosive compacting of composite cermet materials (M + M0) has been used for producing large blanks with a density close to theoretical. A study has been made of the properties of an explosively compacted 60% LaCr03-40% Cr cermet over a wide temperature range. Cermets compacted explosively are shown to have a number of advantages over ones prepared by conventional powder metallurgical techniques. (author)
