AbstractAbstract
[en] With the aid of radiotracer techniques translocation and persistence of some fungicides used for control of plant diseases has been studied. Evidence of translocation of 63Ni labelled NiCl2, a compound having eradicant fungicidal properties and used in combination with dithiocarbamates, to morphologically different parts of wheat plants has been obtained. It has been shown that there is tendency of the fungicide to accumulate in growing parts of the plant. Retention of 35S on foliage of wheat of 3 different varieties have shown that varieties behave differently with regard to absorption of fungicide. The movement and persistence of benomyl in wheat plant when given as seed treatment has been studied. (author)
