[en] The present invention relates to freely-floating piston valves. A valve-piston can be displaced in a valve-body through the closing and opening of a first control-valve for generating a vacuum. A tank is put in communication with the valve actuating chamber, communication being interrupted by a second control-valve when the first control-valve is open for opening the piston-valve. For closing the piston valve, the first control-valve is closed and the second control-valve is open for feeding the valve actuating chamber with pressurized fluid from said tank. This can be applied to nuclear power stations (turbine valves)

La presente invention concerne les vannes a piston flottant libre. Un piston de vanne peut etre deplace dans un corps de vanne par la fermeture et l'ouverture d'une vanne de commande pour creer un vide. Un reservoir est mis en communication avec la chambre d'actionnement de vanne, la communication etant interrompue par la seconde vanne de commande quand la premiere vanne de commande est ouverte pour l'ouverture de la vanne a piston. Pour fermer la vanne a piston, la premiere vanne de commande est fermee et la seconde vanne de commande est ouverte pour fournir du fluide sous pression venant du reservoir a la chambre d'actionnement.
