AbstractAbstract
[en] The options available to the UK when supplies of North Sea oil begin to be depleted are discussed in the context of the effect of the rapid population increase in other parts of the world on the exhaustion of non-renewable resources. Nuclear power is considered in relation to other energy sources - coal, solar energy, hydroelectric, wind, tide and wave power and geothermal energy. It is concluded that nuclear energy is the only source that can solve the problem in this country in the long run. (U.K.)
