[en] A desire to more accurately predict the behavior of transient two-phase flows has resulted in an investigation of the feasibility of computing unequal phase velocities and unequal phase temperatures. The finite difference forms of a set of equations governing a seriated continuum are presented along with two methods developed for solving the resulting systems of simultaneous nonlinear equations. Results from a one-dimensional computer code are presented to illustrate the capabilities of one of the solution methods
