AbstractAbstract
[en] An express chromatographic method of determining gas content in radiated materials is described. A brief review is made of the currently most widespread gas analysis procedures with regard to their respective advantages and drawbacks. The authors give detailed description of a remote selection method of irradiated materials and of a design of an installation for chromatographic analysis. Method is explained of pulse melting of samples in a carrier-gas flow using a carbon crucible. The sensitivities of nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen estimations were 1.3x10-6, 1.6x10-5 and 2.3x10-6 q, respectively. Results are cited for gas estimations in a wide variety of materials. Successful application of the above gas analysis procedure was shown to be possible in radiation material sciences
