[en] What distinguishes the plasma pulse source of charged particles is that with the purpose of increasing the current density of the charged particles, a grid is positioned on the dielectric plate. The grid is placed on ceramics and ensures a higher number of emission centres (discharges) whence the electrons enter the accelerating space thus increasing the current 4 or 5 times. Electrons or ions are selected from the source in dependence on the polarity of the extractor with a duration of the current pulse equal to 200 nsec
