AbstractAbstract
[en] Questions that arise concerning the use of 103Pd as a calibration source for in vivo 239Pu are discussed. Although the energies of the rhodium K/sub α/ and uranium L/sub γ/ x rays are identical at 20.2 keV, the effect of the rhodium K/sub β/ line at 22.8 keV must be considered. The effects of backscattering and calibration factors for 239Pu from data obtained from 103Pd in vivo are discussed
