AbstractAbstract
[en] The effects of a fuel bundle flow blockage in a boiling water reactor have been investigated. The consequences in terms of fuel damage, fission product release, local high-pressure production, and possible propagation to adjacent assemblies have been evaluated. The conclusions reached are that a flow blockage incident will not result in local high-pressure production, propagation to adjacent assemblies, or off-site doses in excess of small fractions of 10CFR100 guidelines
