[en] Knowledge of the stopping power of ions in matter is necessary for thorough examination of physical and biological radiation effects. Since for a variety of ions and materials experimental data are not available and experiments carried out hitherto resulted in differing values calculations of the stopping power had to be performed and the results compared.
