AbstractAbstract
[en] Following a number of first-generation fusion power plant design concepts and their subsequent analysis, a second generation of fusion reactor designs have emerged. These include three conceptual experimental power reactor (EPR) design studies and UWMAK-III, a noncircular Tokamak power reactor design. In this report, the results of an initial examination of potential safety questions for these second-generation reactor designs is presented. In this study, these questions are handled within the context of questions relating to tritium, the first wall, the primary and secondary heat removal systems, and the magnet systems
