AbstractAbstract
[en] This short article describes an experiment that could be performed in science class to show that the photons which are massless particles, can even exert a force. This force can induce a very small displacement of the object on which it exerts. The experimental bench by making 2 laser beams interfere with each other, turns this displacement into an interference pattern. (A.C.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The present paper describes a coupling unit designed for bidirectional data transfer between a CII 90-80 or CII 90-40 computer and a CII 90-10 computer. Data transfer is processed from the parallel path programmed system [POT/BPO, PIN/BPI] of these computers. Data transfers are block data transfer using the INPUT/OUTPUT transfer by block instruction[BPI/BPO]of the CII 90-10 computer and the INPUT /OUTPUT transfer instruction of the CII 90-80 or 90-40 computer in the repeat mode[REP (PIN/POT).] This coupling unit performs: 1 - The initial calling-sequence between the two computer, i.e.: the interrupt request of the receiving computer and the routing of data transfer parameters. 2 - The synchronisation of the request and response exchanged by the two computer in elementary word data transfer. 3 - 12 bits words in 24 bits words assembling for the way of transfer from the 90-10 to the 90-80, - 24 bits words in 12 bits words disassembling for the way of transfer from the 90-80 to the 90-10. The coupling unit allows: 1- The freedom for each computer to call and set the transmission for his own. 2 - The transfer of data blocks of indifferent size: between 1 and 4096 12 bits words for the way 90-10→90-80 - between 1 and 2048 24 bits words for the way 90-80→90-10. It does not need additional optional device to interface with the 90-10 computer [24 bits parallel extension not needed] It increases the rate of transfer compared to the use of this option in a factor of 6. The coupling unit works at the maximum possible speed permitted by the path system used for the coupling of these two computers: a 24 bits word is transferred in both ways each 3 or 4 computer cycles, that is to say each 5,25 or 7 microseconds. AbstractAbstract
[en] The ValorMap project (2015-2018) is an initiative of the RMT ACTIA Ecoval and is co-funded by ADEME. The objective of the project are to increase the treatment of organic substrates in biogas plants in France, and to provide argument to compare anaerobic digestion with current recovery routes. After gathered previous data, the partners of the ValorMap project carried out a study of deposits of organic substrates potentially interesting for anaerobic digestion within their respective sectors. This survey provided an opportunity to establish production ratios and to sample these substrates. The methanogenic potential and the concentrations of dry matter, organic matter, ammonia, total nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium were determined on more than 90 waste from the agro-food industries. The authors of the project have produced more than twenty 'co-products' sheets containing essential information about these waste. A public web tool gives access to the volumes of biogas production that can be produced from the organic wastes studied at cantonal level. Although this map and the corresponding BDD is intended to cover all French agro-industries, only 5 industrial sectors and 3 French regions have been investigated. The results for a greater number of industrial sectors could be integrated later. (authors)

AbstractAbstract
[en] This document aims at providing potential new users of microprocessors with means to address required investments (in terms of techniques and development work). It indicates criteria of selection of digital automatic systems within the specific CEA context. Thus, it gives an overview of fields of application of microprocessors (programmable logic controller with fixed program, data processing systems with recorded program), of modes of application and of their constraints (application developed from elementary components, from functional cards, from a mini-computer), of necessary tools (minimum organisation of microprocessor-based system and exploitation configuration, development steps and tools). It also discusses how to select a microprocessor, and how programmers should be trained. It discusses maintenance issues, and gives an overview of microprocessor types used within the CEA and of the available technical support

AbstractAbstract
[en] The limiting characteristics of intermediate mass bolometers cooled to low temperature for the detection of single events are analyzed over a large energy range with the contributions of inherent noise at low energy, of statistical effects at intermediate energy, and of nonlinear effects at high energy. The optimal design of a fast (time constant τ < 1 ms) intermediate mass bolometer (10 mg < m < 1 g) with high resolution (ΔEFWHM < 500 eV) and large dynamic range (E(max) > 5 MeV) is described from functional block diagram to the calculation of parameters for each element. This has been applied to the construction and successful tests of a 100 mg silicon bolometer. We obtained resolutions better than 1 keV on γ-rays from 13 to 130 keV with a base line resolution of 300 eV and a measured time constant of less than 400 μs. The same bolometer was also used for α particle spectrometry in the 5 to 8 MeV range with a resolving power greater than 200. From measurements of the short lived 214Po atoms recoiled into the bolometer we deduced a half-life of 160±12 μs, which extends the excellent time resolution possible with such bolometers. (orig.)
