[en] The effect of lithium adsorption on the phase transition from 1H-MoS_2 to 1T-MoS_2 is studied by first-principles computations. The results indicate the possibilities of the phase transition for the lithium adsorption. Based on the results of charge density difference and charge-transfer of molybdenum disulfide with lithium adsorption, we elucidated that the mechanism of the changes of electronic property accompanying the phase transition is attributed to the electron transfer of different atoms. According to the result of transition state, it can be found that the phase-transition barrier is related to the coverage of lithium atoms on MoS_2 surface. It may be helpful to obtaining experimentally the stable 1T-MoS_2 structure. - Highlights: • The transformation of MoS_2 from semiconducting to metallic phases is elucidated on the essence of the electron transfer. • The relationship between Li coverage and phase transition barrier is obtained. • The decomposing of Lithiated 1T-MoS_2 at a high concentration of Li adsorption is explained. • The results can be helpful to obtaining experimentally the stable 1T-MoS_2 structure.
[en] 1.5 MW Ion Cyclotron Wave Heating system was developed, the transmitter and the antenna both have their ground loops, which will severely perturb the system's normal operation. To avoid perturbation, a DC break was designed. The S parameter and the VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio) of incident port were calculated; the thermal effect caused by conductor loss and dielectric loss was analyzed. (authors)
[en] In microwave circuit and aerial system, impedance matching is very important. Liquid stub tuner is a new type of impedance matching device. In the HT-7 Tokamak Ion Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ICRH) system, authors have already adopted liquid stub tuner to replace the conventional stub tuner. It is urgent to develop a control system of the liquid stub tuner. This paper mainly introduces the design and realization of the liquid stub tuner control system, and briefly introduces its three controlling functions: local control, remote control and computer control. [en] Radio frequency (RF) heating in the ion cyclotron range of frequencies (ICRF) is one of the primary auxiliary heating methods for EAST. The ICRF system provides 6 MW power in primary phase and will be capable of 10 MW later. Three 1.5 MW ICRF systems in a frequency range of 25 MHz to 70 MHz have already been in operation. The ICRF heating launchers are designed to have two current straps with each driven by a RF power source of 1.5 MW. In this paper a brief introduction of the ICRF heating system capability in EAST and the preliminary results in EAST are presented. (magnetically confined plasma)
[en] A hybrid structure consisting of a square lattice of gold disk arrays and an overlaying gold film is proposed as an optical coupler for a backside-illuminated quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP). Finite difference time-domain method is used to numerically simulate the reflection spectra and the field distributions of the hybrid structure combined with the QWIP device. The results show that the electric field component perpendicular to the quantum well is strongly enhanced when the plasmonic resonant wavelength of the hybrid structure coincides with the response one of the quantum well infrared photodetector regardless of the polarization of the incident light. The effect of the diameter and thickness of an individual gold disk on the resonant wavelength is also investigated, which indicates that the localized surface plasmon also plays a role in the light coupling with the hybrid structure. The coupling efficiency can exceed 50 if the structural parameters of the gold disk arrays are well optimized
