AbstractAbstract
[en] Weldings and the adjacent heat-affected zones of reactor vessels are inspected. The inspection is performed by means of search units containing three or multiple crystals in emitter-receiver technique with longitudinal or transverse waves. The three- or multi-crystal search unit may also be applied in tandem technique. Meandering sweeps with 20 mm distance of inspection may be obtained. (DG)

Untersucht werden Schweissnaehte und die angrenzenden Waermeeinflusszonen an RDBs. Die Untersuchung erfolgt mittels Drei- bzw. Mehrschwinger-Pruefkoepfen in SEL-Technik mit Longitudinalwellen oder Transversalwellen. Der Drei- bzw. Mehrschwingerpruefkopf kann auch in Tandemtechnik angewandt werden. AbstractAbstract
[en] The ultrasonic testing system serves to inspect welds and the adjoining heat-affected zones on reactor pressure vessels. The three-oscillator search unit has got either two external emitter crystal oscillators simultaneously loaded and an internal receiver crystal oscillator of equal width or vice versa. The inspection path is run through meanderingly. With the search unit there is succeeded to do the inspection by SEL technique, by SE technique with shear waves or by tandem technique. Loading of the oscillators is done with a time-multiplex method. (RW)

Das Ultraschall-Pruefsystem dient der Untersuchung von Schweissnaehten und der angrenzenden Waermeeinflusszonen bei Druckbehaeltern von Reaktoren. Der Dreischwinger-Pruefkopf weist entweder zwei gleichzeitig beaufschlagte aeussere Sender-Schwingkristalle und einen inneren, gleichbreiten Empfaenger-Schwingkristall oder umgekehrt auf. Die Pruefspur wird maeanderfoermig abgefahren. Mit dem Pruefkopf gelingt eine Pruefung in SEL-Technik, in SE-Technik mit Transversalwellen oder in Tandemtechnik. Die Beaufschlagung der Schwinger erfolgt mit einem Zeitmultiplex-Verfahren. (RW)Original Title

AbstractAbstract
[en] The ultrasonic probe assembly is used to examine materials, e.g., the bolts of the pressure vessel of a PWR power reactor of 1,000 MWe, to detect cracks and voids. It consists of an oblong carrier tube, which can be moved by means of a manipulator, with several test heads attached to it. They are arranged at various levels above each other relative to the longitudinal axis of the carrier. Their mean beam directions may enclose an angle of 90 degrees. The individual test heads are sequentially assigned transmitter and receiver functions by an ultrasonic unit. The signals from each individual test head must be detected separately. In this way, it is possible to shorten the time required for materials examinations by using a multiplicity of test heads. (DG/RF)

Die Ultraschallsondenanordnung dient der Untersuchung von Materialien, z.B. der Schrauben des Druckbehaelters eines DWLR von 1.000 MWe, auf Risse und Lunker. Sie umfasst einen laenglichen Traegerrohrkoerper, der mittels Manipulator bewegt werden kann, mit mehreren Pruefkoepfen. Sie sind im mehreren Ebenen bezueglich der Traegerlaengsachse uebereinander verteilt. Ihre Hauptstrahlrichtungen koennen einen Winkel von 900 miteinander einschliessen. Die einzelnen Pruefkoepfe werden zeitlich aufeinanderfolgend von einem Ultraschallgeraet mit Sende- und Empfangsfunktion beaufschlagt. Die Signale jedes einzelnen Pruefkopfes sind gesondert zu erfassen. Somit kann durch die Verwendung einer Mehrzahl von Pruefkoepfen die Materialuntersuchungszeit verkuerzt werden. (DG)Original Title
