AbstractAbstract
[en] The electromagnetic decay of negative parity states in 45Sc up to an excitation energy of 2107keV have been investigated via the 42Ca(α,pγ)45Sc reaction at a bombarding energy of 10.5MeV. Spin and lifetime of the levels as well as branching and mixing ratios of their decay γ-rays have been obtained from proton-gamma angular correlation measurements. Calculations based on the strong coupling model have been performed. The results are compared with experiment

[en] The mean lifetime of the 8040keV Jsup(π)=(12)+ state in 44Ti, populated via the 42Ca(α,2n)44Ti reaction, has been measured with the pulsed beam method to be tau=3.0+-0.6ns. Effective charges from E2 transitions are discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] The phenomenon of identical bands is studied by analyzing the distributions of fractional changes in the dynamical moments of inertia of pairs of bands in superdeformed (SD) nuclei. These distributions are found to exhibit a peak with a centroid at nearly zero. Their widths increase in going from the SD bands in the mass A ∼ 150, to the SD bands in the mass ∼190 and to the normally-deformed bands in the rare-earth region. These differences may be attributed to the weaker pairing correlations and the stabilizing role of intruder orbitals on the structures of SD bands. Precise level lifetimes have been measured for various pairs of identical SD bands in Gd and Dy isotopes. By comparing the derived quadrupole moments with calculations performed in the framework of the cranking Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model, it is shown that, independently of the intrinsic configuration and of the proton and neutron numbers, the charge moments calculated with respect to the doubly-magic SD core of 152Dy can be expressed in terms of independent contributions from the individual hole and particle orbitals. AbstractAbstract
[en] This document is made up of the slides that were presented at the Nupecc session held in Bordeaux (France) (27-28 october 2006). The CENBG (center of nuclear studies of Bordeaux-Gradignan) seized the opportunity to present 4 important topics of its research program. The first topic is the study of exotic nuclei that involve 2-proton emission from either ground or excited states, mirror symmetry studies in weak interaction and implications in the construction of Spiral-2. The second topic is the study of nuclear excitation through laser radiation. The third topic is the study of neutrino properties: nature and mass of the neutrino, neutrinoless double-beta decay search, and Nemo-3 and Super-Nemo experiments. An application of low radioactivity measurement is shown for dating wine and deducing the vintage without opening the bottle. The fourth topic is the AIFIRA platform that will be composed of 2 micro-beams (including a new high resolution probe), a neutron beamline with associated radiation shielding, micro-irradiation capabilities in living cells in single event mode and semi-conductors, and submicron deuteron beam for nuclear reaction analysis. The aim of AIFIRA is twofold, first developing ion beam analysis and local irradiation techniques and secondly conducting experimental program in neutronics for nuclear waste and innovative fuel cycle studies. AbstractAbstract
[en] Levels in 45Se have been investigated through the 42Ca(α,pγ)45Sc reaction. Gamma-ray spectra in coincidence with backscattered protons were recorded with a Ge(Li) detector positioned at angles 105 deg >=theta>=0 deg. The data corresponding to the members of the proposed Ksup(π)=3/2+ band were analyzed and led to the following results for excitation energies (keV), spins, parities and lifetimes (ps): 543.3, 5/2+, 9.2(+6.8 or -3.3); 974.8, 7/2+, 3.2(+0.8 or -0.7); 1433.8, 9/2+, 7.8(+4.3, or -2.2); 2031.6, 11/2+, 1.6(+0.8 or -0.5); and 2563.3, 9/2+, 9/2-, 11/2+, 13/2+, 2.0(+0.9, or 0.6). Multipole mixing ratios and γ-ray branching ratios were also obtained from the data and reduced electromagnetic transition matrix elements deduced

AbstractAbstract
[en] The strong coupling model was used to investigate the possible regions of stable deformation for the positive parity states of the odd nuclei in the 1fsub(7/2) shell. In strongly deformed nuclei, two regions of stable deformation are obtained. In each nucleus where sufficient experimental data are available, a potential having a positive deformation β approximately 0.20 can reproduce the variation observed for Esub(x) as a function of J(J+1)
