[en] There is probably no such thing as an optimized grinding process that stays optimized, but we should still strive for one. There is a strong need for standardized test methodologies that can be conducted in a production environment at reasonable costs and without sophisticated instrumentation. There is a need for better analytical models whose results closely match real-world grinding processes. Accurate measurement of wheel performance and wheel wear is a key enabling technology that needs further work and standardization
