AbstractAbstract
[en] The invention concerns the power supplies of plasma devices and may be used as a power supply in thermonuclear devices of the tokamak type. The above power supply includes valve-tube converters, connected through commutators with the windings of longitudinal and vortex field. In order to decrease the power of the valve-tube converters one of them is connected in series with a diode to the circuit of longitudinal field winding and another one is connected parallel to a diode and in series with the vortex field winding. As an uncontrolled valve-tube is essentially cheaper than a control valve-tube converter, and the commutators, operating at zero currents are rather simple in design and cheap, the application of the device suggested can produce essential economic effect

[en] A device for charged particel beam bending, in particular, at output of electron linear accelerators used in medicine and industry is described. The device consists of three pairs of poles arranged in series along the line coinciding with the trajectory of charged particles, and racks for closing reversed magnetic fluxes and a frame joining all elements of the device together. Exciting coils form 3 interpolor gaps with areas S1, S2, S3. In this case exciting coils of middle and outer magnets are connected oppositely. To decrease mass and dimensions and to simplify the device construction, the poles are fastened on a frame made as parallel ferromagnetic plates and racks joining them. The total area of rack cross section, Sr, is determined from the formular Sr=σB0/Br(S1+S3-S2), where σ is the coefficient of magnetic flux scattering, B0 is the magnetic induction in the interpolar gap, Br is the magnetic induction in racks. Rough development shows that the weight of the device decreses ∼ by 30% in comparison with the prototype
