[en] Helium streams are used in the cryostatic control system of superconducting magnets of an accelerator-storage complex (ASC). Thermostatic control channels run to a few hundred meters while raising heat carrier temperature by 1 to 2 K results in loss of superconductivity (quenching). Liquid helium flows under the action of pressure drop through a system of magnets and is cooled by a reverse two-phase flow through coiled by-pass channels. The principal layout of cryostatic control scheme for a row of ASC magnets and the geometric dimensions of channels with liquid helium are given. It has been shown that transition from cryostatic control in a flow-free regime (removing thermal influxes form ambient atmosphere) to a regime with electricity applied to magnets causes uneven delivery of two-phase helium into refrigerator collector. An analysis of this nonstationary regime and calculation of the main flow parameters is of considerable practical interest since it determines the operational reliability of the equipment, quality of thermostatic control, and technology of utilizing the system
[en] An algorithm that describes the operation of a dynamic compressor control system with anti-surge valve is presented. A technique for the use of the certified gaseodynamic characteristics of a compressor and the equations of state of actual gases for determining the parameters assigned to an anti-surge controller is presented. Through the use of the algorithm and the computation technique in the design of an anti-surge compressor control system, the occurrence of surge and the stagnation regimes in the gas flow may be prevented.
[en] A comparative analysis is provided for turning caprolon using replaceable polyhedral plates made from different materials, and in fact made of tungsten-cobalt alloy VK8 and ceramic material, i.e., tungsten-free hard alloy KNT60. It is established by experiment that for machining caprolon workpieces it is expedient to use replaceable cutting tools made from ceramic materials KNT60, which makes it possible to expand the range of tools used and improve turning efficiency as a whole.

It is shown that these devices allow solving various tasks at automation of technological processes in the chemical, oil and gas and related industries (in particular, the task of ensuring ecological and sanitary-hygienic safety).
[en] Quantitative estimation of the change of the isotope ratio of oxygen produced on adsorption air separation plants was carried out. The change of the isotope composition of the produced oxygen is determined by an insignificant increase in the mole fraction of 16О2 molecules.
[en] Results are presented for research in the development of new grades of corrosion-resistant steels for a bimetal cladding layer prepared by electroslag surfacing technology. It is shown that steel of transition martensiticaustenitic class may surpass martensitic steels both with respect to reliability characteristics and wear resistance. In this case, these steels have a more economic alloying system, and correspondingly low cost compared with austenitic chromium-nickel steels. Based on thermodynamic modeling of regions for phase existence optimum steel alloying systems are determined for new grades as a bimetal cladding layer.
