[en] Crystal structure and defects in La₂CuO₄ monocrystals are investigated within the temperature interval from the room to 600 deg C one. In situ heating is performed directly in the microscope column to observe the twin domain dynamics in the phase transition temperature region and the related processes of structural transformations. The source twin structure is non-equilibrium and changes its shape at the temperatures lower than the phase transition ones even under electron beam effect. At the temperatures, exceeding the phase transition ones, complete disappearance of the twinned structure with the corresponding disappearance of reflex splitting is observed. 8 refs.; 4 figs
