[en] A radiochemical method permitting a rapid and efficient isolation of 228Ac isotope from 228Ra with a high degree of purity has been suggested. The method is based on Ac coprecipitation with rare earth compounds, gadolinium, in particular. AbstractAbstract
[en] Agglomeration process of radioiodine and radiocesium with potassium chloride from steam-gas phase in the conditions of formation of supersaturated vapors of micro- and macrocomponent is investigated. It is shown that as a result of formation of mixed aerosols KCl (137Cs, 131I) encapsulation of radionuclides in matrix of macrocomponent takes place which prevents further transformation of radioiodine in other inorganic and organic forms. This process seems to be perspective for localization of radionuclides near the place of depressurization of fuel elements in the case of accident in nuclear power plants and for hydrophilization of fine-dispersed (with particle size lower then 0.10 μm) aerosols and cesium iodide among them

Показано, что в результате образования смешанных аэрозолей KCl (137Cs, 131I) происходит капсулирование радионуклидов а матрице макрокомпонента, предотвращающее дальнейшую трансформацию радиоиода в иные неорганические и органические формы. The O3 high concentration creates the O3- high content, the decomposition whereof is subjected to the law of the first-order rate. The O3- decomposition in accordance with the first-order reaction leads to origination of O2-, slightly reacting with Am6+. AbstractAbstract
[en] Physicochemical properties of Ba14CO3 obtained both through carbonization of barium-containing solutions and through the drop precipitation method, are studied. Analysis of quantitative characteristics (sedimentation velocity, final volume of residues bottoms, filtration coefficient) showed that for obtaining of barium carbonate with good sedimentation and filtration characteristics it is better to pass through carbon-14 dioxide through the solution of barium hydroxide or its mixture with barium nitrate (not more than 50 mass %), heated up to 60-70 deg C. In case of absorption of carbon dioxide by alkali solution the subsequent Ba14CO3 precipitation showed be better conducted by adding in portions the solution of barium hydroxide, chloride or nitrate to the sodium (potassium) solution, heated up to 60-80 deg C. Optimal content of alkali in the carbonate solution equals 50-70 mass %

Изучены физико-химические свойства осадков Ba14CO3, полученных как карбонизацией барийсодержащих растворов, так и капельным методом осаждения. Анализ количественных характеристик (скорость седиментации, конечный объем отстоя осадка, коэффициент фильтрации) показал, что для получения карбоната бария с хорошими седиментационными и фильтрационными характеристиками диоксид углерода-14 лучше пропускать через нагретый до 60-70 град С раствор гидроксида бария или его смеси с натритом и/или нитратом бария (не более 50 масс %).
