[en] Commissioning of the 10 NPP in Russia, i.e. Rostov NPP, unit 1, is reported. Historical aspects of its construction and main targets of the NPP are described. The process of its putting into pilot-industrial operation is considered. In the period elapsed since March, 2001 the radiation situation in the region does not change, corresponding to radiation background level. It is pointed out that the Rostov NPP is the only one commissioned in Russia in recent 8 years

[en] Generalization of the data on the heat exchange crisis by boiling in the channels conditioned by transition of the dispersion-annular structure of the two-phase flow into the purely dispersion one is accomplished on the basis of the hydrodynamic approach. The simple empiric ratio making it possible with acceptable accuracy in the engineering practice to generalize experimental data and forecast the conditions of originating the heat-exchange crisis by the dispersion-annular flow mode in the channels of various geometry and sufficiently wide range of the mode parameter change is obtained

It is pointed out that the number of reports dealing with nuclear power industry exceeded the number of reports presented in the recent years. Reduction of dose rate for equipment remains the principle problem of the NPP water chemistry. The positive results of commercial application of zinc proportioning technique at two PWR reactor NPPs were reported. The report of the model Philippsburg NPP describing the ways to minimize electric conductivity in the steam and water channel of boiling reactor NPP due to optimization of condensate treatment facility was presented as a conclusion

[en] Paper analyzes the conditions affecting the efficiency of water reverse-osmosis demineralization for NPP and TPP steam generators and presents an example of efficient application of a membrane reverse-osmosis facility serving as the first stage of water demineralization at the Mosehnergo Joint-Stock Company heating and power plant no. 23 to feed boilers

[en] The lift height of effluents from the NPP ventilation tubes into the atmosphere is one of the most important characteristics, determining the distribution of pollutants in the environmental medium, subject to evaluation by the hybrid and calculational monitoring of the region near the NPP location. The results on clarifying the parameters of the model for calculating the lift height of toxic effluents into the atmosphere are presented. The dependence of the measurement error on the lift height is introduced additionally. It is shown, that the parameters are determined with sufficiently high accuracy and the hypothesis on the correctness of the model developed is true. The corrected values of the parameters make it possible to use in practice the lift height model without changing its regulated form

[en] Currently in Russia there are several interrelated energy problems, their solution being able to grant a significant effect for the national economy. The problems are: utilization of nuclear submarines (NS), either decommissioned or taken out of service; rational use of power engineering facilities on board of ships, vessels and NS; construction of stationary facilities, including nuclear ones, on their basis for electrogenerator drives; employment of ship's steam-turbine power engineering facilities for mobile power plants in regions that do not have centralized power supply
