AbstractAbstract
[en] We have studied the amount of uridylic nucleoside phosphates and glycogen in the tissues of the rats exposed to ionizing radiation (6 Gy) and maximum physical exertion (running along a tredbahn till complete exhaustion). It has been shown that the amount of glycogen in the skeletal muscles decreases considerably 1 hour after combined action of ionizing radiation and physical exertion, 1 - 3 days after it decreased in the liver. Decrease of uridine diphosphate and uridine triphosphate polyphosphates amount as well as increase of uridine monophosphate in the tissue of the brain and liver are natural for uridylic nucleotides after combined action of ionizing radiation and physical exertion. These changes are more marked with increase of the period after the exposure

AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors report the results of radionuclide and ultrasound study of hepatobiliary system in 260 children with acute and chronic glomerulonephritis (GN). In 110 of them, blood serum bile acids amount was determined with radioimmunoassay. Disturbances of hepatocyte absorption-excretion function and bile secretion as well as hepatic hemodynamics were shown to be present at the height of GN clinical manifestations. The revealed changes are not always restored completely during pathogenetic therapy, especially at chronic recurrent GN. Complex investigation of hepatobiliary system structural and functional state allows not only to reveal preclinical signs of this system involvement into pathologic process at GN, but to control their changes under the background of pathogenetic therapy. They dictate the necessity of early administration of corrective preparations to prevent further development of the disease

AbstractAbstract
[en] Radionuclide ventriculography (RNVG) was used to assess the changes of the left ventricle myocardium contractile function in 95 patients with the history of myocardial infarction Balanced cardio synchronized RNVG with 99mTc complex compounds was performed by means of LFOV-IV gamma-camera. The developed complex approach to estimation of regional contractile myocardial infarction allows to perform objective evaluation of normo-, hypo-, hyper kinetic areas and visualize asynergy of contraction, increases diagnostic RNVG informativity in the cardiologic patients

AbstractAbstract
[en] To study the changes of ultrastructure disturbances development in male gametes at exposure to ionizing radiation we performed electron microscopic investigation after single gamma-irradiation of C57BL/6 mice spermatozoa in the dose of 5 - 700 Gy. Disturbance of cell membrane apparatus state was showed to perform a leading role in development of male gametes radiation lesion. It was established that plasmalemma was the first to respond to radiation exposure. Motor activity of the most of the cells remains at increase of the disturbance intensity in spermatozoa ultrastructure. Stability of programmed ultrastructure and molecular structure of spermatozoa motor apparatus, which can provide translational motion of male gametes during postradiation period even at considerable damage of their structure elements is discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors have studied the links of lipides peroxide oxidation (LPO) in the blood plasma, i.e. the level of antioxidant protection at duodenal peptic ulcer (DPU) in the persons who stayed in the zone of the accident at Chernobyl Atomic Power Station. LPO intensification takes place at the expense of the primary stages (spontaneous and hydrogen peroxide induced chemo luminescence) in the liquidators with DPU, when compared with the patients having DPU who did not stay in the zone of the accident. It suggests of exhaustion of cell membranes anti-oxidate protection level which provides atypical course of inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract mucous membrane. The peculiarities of blood plasma LPO changes suggest that it would be reasonable to include antioxidants (Unithiolum) to the complex treatment of the liquidators

AbstractAbstract
[en] Annual demand for radiopharmaceuticals in Ukraine is about 50.000 GBq and expenses for their purchase are about 1 - 2 mln US dollars per year. It determines expediency of their production in Ukraine. Taking into consideration the fact that one of the aftereffects of the accident at Chernobyl Atomic Power Station is inevitable increase of the number of oncological diseases (including malignant growths of the thyroid gland) the demand for radionuclides will be increasing steadily. Therefore, it is clear that organization of the centre for radiopharmaceuticals production will not solve the problem of providing radiological departments with them. One of the possible ways to solve the problem is creation of a network of regional centres for radioactive isotopes production. Realisation of the suggested program will allow to solve the problem of providing the medical establishments of Ukraine with medical radionuclides. Performed technical and economical evaluation shows that the expenses will be compensated in 2.9 years

AbstractAbstract
[en] Measures to compile a distributive Register of Chernobyl accident victims were taken in 1986-1987, immediately after the disaster. On the onset of 1988 it contained medical information about 348,000 persons, of them, 138,100 liquidators,50,800 those evacuated from the 30 km zone and 65,400 children. The date base contains more them 151,000 results of thyroid radioactive iodine accumulation direct measurement, about 40,000 reconstructed doses of its irradiation, more them 2000,000 incorporated cesium content measurement results. We present the conception and principal propositions of the Ukrainian National Registry (UNR) of Chernobyl victims. The objective of the Register is to provide the victims with health protection through the system of medical and social measures based on the total inter departmental registration and health evaluation of both the whole suffered population and every suffered person in particular. The main task of UNR, its structure, the list of the persons to be included in the UNR are described. Objective dispanserization of victims according to screening programme, other clinicoepidemiological and dosimetric date form the basis for date base. The structure of the Register, its automated distributive base includes territorial, clinicoepidemiological, departmental, dosimetric, sociological and other sub registers

[en] We studied the influence of fractional total irradiation in the total dose of 1 Gy on the amount of lipids peroxide oxidation (LPO) products and ascorbic acid in the spleen, intestine and brain of guinea-pigs. The obtained date suggest that it is advisable to use ascorbic acid to correct postirradiation changes in the organism exposed to small doses of ionizing radiation

AbstractAbstract
[en] We have performed experimental study of ultrastructure morphological stale of the ovaries in rats during the early period of radiation affection (3, 6, 12, 24, 48 hours) and at long terms (5, 10, 20 and 60 days) after X-ray irradiation in the dose of 4.7 Gy. Inhibition of secretion in the ovarian cells, des crease of their energetic potential at simultaneous development of stroma components suggest of sharp decrease of specific functional activity of the organ after X-ray irradiation in the dose of 4.7 Gy

AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors performed the dynamic study (1988-1993) of the sympathoadrenal system functional state in 176 persons who took part in elimination of the Chernobyl accident aftereffects and were exposed to external irradiation in the dose of 0.17 - 0.45 REM was performed. Sympathoadrenal system strain with mediators activity prevalence when compared with the hormones was revealed in the majority of the patients. 6 years after accident we observed normalization of the values of catecholamines excretion at rest, while at functional load decrease of the sympathoadrenal system reactivity and functional possibilities were revealed. The authors think it to be reasonable to single out the patients with disturbance of sympathoadrenal system functioning to the high-risk groups for further out-patient observation
