[en] To determine necessary parameters of the steam temperature automatic regulator behind the steam separator-rheater supe (SSS) of an NPP turbine the static and dynamic characteristics of the temperature change behind the SSS were studied experimentally. The measurements were carried out at the K-220-44 turbine of the Kolskaja NPP in the case of both varying turbine loads and the flow rate of the heating vapor. Disturbances caused by the opening of the regulating valve at the inlet of the heating vapor are investigated as well. It is found that due to a relatively high inertiality of the SSS a rather simple structure of the start-up steam temperature regulators behind the SSS in composition with automatated driving systems of the turbine start-up without regard for the change of the dynamic characteristics can be used

[en] Results are given of a complex investigation into the effect of electronslag remelting (ESR) on the structure and properties of billets of the 15Kh1M1F steel prepared by electronslag smelting of shaped billets. Metal of billets of various turbine details with different carbon content is investigated. Heat treatment is done according to the following regime: homogenization at 1030 deg C, normalization from a temperature of 1000 deg C in the forced cooling chamber and tempering at 750 deg C. Mechanical tests are performed at a temperature -40 to +565 deg C. The macro- and macrostructure, phase composition are studied. Methods of gas analysis, dilatametry and metallography are used. The data obtained prove a high level of properties of the ESR billet metal of steam turbine details of steel 15Kh1M1F-Sh, that permits to use them instend of forged details

[en] The results of studies of radioactivity of waters and bottom sediments of the Danube river and Baltic sea carried out by the COMECON state-members and USSR in cooperation with Finland are given. The analysis of environmental radioactivity was conducted to determine the effect of operation of NPP located on the seaside as well as to forecast consequences of further development of the nuclear power engineering. It is shown that along the Dunabe river no districts with the excess permissible radionuclide content were found. Some decrease of 90Sr and 137Cs concentrations in the Baltic sea is observed by the data of 1980 due to global atmospheric fallout decrease

[en] Materials of the 11-th Congress of the World Power Conference held in Munich (FRG) on September 8-12, 1970 are reviewed. A question of the use of world fuel-energy resources was of primary importance at the Congress. The data on uranium deposits for separate countries are presented. According to estimates, nuclear power, the only alternative of the energy crisis, to 2000 year will provide 25% and to 2020 year-40% of the all electric energy output in the world. Main directions of energy policy conducted by France, Japan, USA, USSR, are presented. It is noted that NPP with thermal reactors of the PWR type are built up and are operated nowadays in the majority of countries. Basic characteristics of several such reactors are presented. It is outlined that resources of economically acceptable nuclear fuel in the world will be exhausted soon (for several dosens of years) if only thermal neutron reactors are used in nuclear power. All NPP with fast reactors, being built up and designed nowadays, will use liquid sodium as a coolant and uranium-plutonium fuel cycle as well. Basic characteristics of the modern fast reactors are given
