AbstractAbstract
[en] The main goal of investigation is obtaining whole physical origin and nature of appearance and stability of a new transition; development technological process of manufacturing hematite with anticipated parameters of a new transition. To reach goal the next tasks are to be solved: - to replenish the data bank on the LT transition parameters dependence on the type and energy at the expense of providing additional experiments of irradiation by charged particles in wide range of mass, energy, dose and flux; - to investigate dependence of LT transition parameters varying after the annealing of radiation defects; - to investigate behavior of the LT transition in applied magnetic field; - to investigate the spin-reorientation processes in presence of defects of non radiation origin; - to investigate irradiation influence on the magnetic orientation systems similar to hematite, particularly in orthoferrite or rare earth - to investigate combined radiation and mechanical influences, doping and diffusion doping of impurities from surface to the depth of samples; - to develop phenomenological thermodynamic theory of LT transition Main expected results: - obtaining full information on the behavior of LT transition in dependence on type, energy and flux of bombarding particles and its varying under external non radiation influences (mechanical strength, grinding to powder, striking squeeze etc.); - receiving information on the surround of the primary knocked on atoms produced in the result of irradiation and localized in sites of most damages by means of Moessbauer effect: - substantiation of the physical model and theoretical treatment of a new phenomenon

AbstractAbstract
[en] Samples of n-Si with 2,5 centre dot 103 ohm/cm specific resistance were studied before and after irradiation with 24 GeV protons having the fluence up to 1014 p/cm-2. Temperature dependencies of carrier effective concentrations in oxygen and oxygen-free n-Si samples after different irradiation doses are presented

AbstractAbstract
[en] The radiation response of a base-line carbide composite (SiC/SiC) made with Nicalon trademark CG fiber reinforcement was presented for a broad range of dose and irradiation temperatures. Strength loss in this composite and a similar composite made with Tyranno trademark fiber was related to shrinkage and a predicted mass loss in the Nicalon CG or Tyranno fibers. In Table 1, measured relative density and length changes (Δp/po and ΔL/Lo, respectively) for coated and uncoated fibers irradiated at high doses and temperatures (43 dpa-SiC at 1000 C and 80 dpa-SiC at 800 C) are given. Also given are the relative mass loss changes Δm/mo, calculated from Δp/po and ΔL/Lo by the expression Δm/mo = 3 ΔL/Lo + Δp/po

AbstractAbstract
[en] Surface composition modifications due to D+ ion bombardment with energies between 10 eV and 1 keV at temperatures ranging from 300 K to 1000 K and the consequences for the sputtering yields and chemical erosion have been investigated for SiC, TiC and graphites doped with 10 at.% Si or 10 at.% Ti. At D+ ion energies below about 100 eV, a steady-state surface enrichment of the metal has been observed both in the carbides and in the doped graphites. The maximum enrichment was nearly 100 at.% in SiC, about 75 at.% in TiC and about 70 at.% and 60 at.% in Si- and Ti-doped graphite, respectively. In SiC the temperature and the ion energy dependence of the Si surface enrichment reflects the chemical erosion, i.e. the surface depletion of carbon. The surface enrichment of the metal in TiC is caused by the threshold energy of 33 eV for Ti sputtering by D+ irradiation. In both doped graphites after D+ bombardment, the development of a cone structure has been observed. The tops of these cones consist of Si- or Ti-rich grains shielding the underlying graphite material from erosion. Thus, the steady-state metal surface enrichment under D+ bombardment can be explained by considering the surface topography and the metal surface enrichment of the corresponding carbide. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] It has been shown that a thermoluminescence (TL) peak of BeO cannot be fitted with a numerically generated glow peak involving only three trapping parameters, namely trap depth, frequency factor and order of kinetics. The peak can be fitted with a TL peak numerically generated by the exact solutions of the basic differential equations. This enables one to determine the five important intrinsic trapping parameters: trap depth, frequency factor, retrapping probability, recombination probability and the concentration of a disconnected trap, an impossible feat under the kinetics formalism. AbstractAbstract
[en] Experimental results are presented of an investigation of TSEE and TL properties of BeO-TiO2 non-stoichiometric ceramics. Non-stoichiometry was created with thermal treatment under reducing conditions. To describe the processes determining the emission properties of these materials, the results of measurements of the spectral composition of TL, ESR and ceramic electroconductivity were used.
