AbstractAbstract
[en] In the framework of the S-matrix formulation of statistical mechanics of Dashen, Ma and Bernstein the contribution of strong interaction to the thermodynamic potential of the NN-system is obtained by using a Regge-type two-particle interaction amplitude. It is shown that the forces due to the exchange of f, ω reggeons result in a negative contribution to the pressure at a temperature of order 10 GeV. The contribution to the pressure due to the pomeron exchange dominates when the temperature exceeds 100 GeV. Owing to the fact that the negative contribution to the pressure becomes large in absolute value at some temperatures, there appears a temperature region where the system is thermodynamically unstable

AbstractAbstract
[en] Production of high-energy pions is considered in the impulse approximation. Effects of relativization of the deuteron wave function are investigated. It is shown that the experimental data on inclusive production of superfast pions on nuclei may be explained in the framework of usual concepts of the deuteron structure. To improve the agreement between the theory and the experimental data possible modifications of the model are discussed as well as the supplementary experiments necessary to identify the mechanism of the processes in view

AbstractAbstract
[en] New, heavy, narrow mesons decaying into strange states have been found at SPEAR in the debris of e+e- annihilation. I interpret them as being charmed and compare the data with theoretical expectations, to conclude that the interpretation is, to say the least, viable. I discuss strange and nonstrange, excited and unexcited charmed meson production in e+e- annihilation, as well as charmed baryon production. (orig.)

(orig.)Primary Subject

AbstractAbstract
[en] Algebraic realization for obtaining mass formulae in SU(4), which is considered as the dynamic nonlinear symmetry with linearization on the SU(2)xYxC group is discussed. Based on the condition of a correct (as in the Regge pole theory) assymptotic behaviour of scattering amplitude of the Goldstone bosons on particles the breaking of minimum in the mass operator without the suppositon abount a slight breaking was obtained . It is shown that large values of PSI-meson masses may be coordinated with the SU(4) algebraic realization, if Dsub(* *) and Ssub(* *) trajectories possess a large intercept of 0 < α(0) < 1, i.e. the branching diagrams appear to be sloping with an inclination less than 0.3 (GeV)-2. Mass formulae obtained were used for numerical estimations of particle masses and mixing in 16-plets of 1-, 0- and 2+ mesons. The results are in a good agreement with the experiment and quark model

AbstractAbstract
[en] Neutrino oscillations are reviewed. The case of mixing of two neutrinos with m1 and m2 masses is discussed. It is demonstrated that the mixing hypothesis does not con< approximately 1 eV. The possible experiments on the search of oscillations of neutrino produced in reactors, meson factories and high-energy accelerators are considered. The possibilities of search for neutrino oscillations in the experiments with cosmic neutrinos and especially, with solar neutrinos are treated. These experiments are characterized by unique sensitivity as far as the checking of the mixing hypothesis is conserned. The ''paradox of solar neutrinos'' is discussed from the point of view of neutrino mixing. Neutrino oscillations are also considered in the case, if there are more than 2 types of neutrinos in nature. The schemes involving mixing of heavy leptons are also discussed

AbstractAbstract
[en] I=Y=0 16 plet mixing in SU(4) is discussed. The ideal values of newly introduced two angles in addition to that of Okubo in SU(3) is determined. The result is applied to amplitude relations for the two-body photonic decay of vector mesons. There is some inhibition factor in J/psi decays, but no inconsistency among themselves by choosing angles close to the ideal ones

AbstractAbstract
[en] A harmonic oscillator spectroscopy of meson states (Q antiQ) in the upsilon region is presented in close parallel with C antiC spectroscopy through e+e- annihilation studies. The observed masses are reproduced through a quadratic mass formula with a suitable spring constant. Radiative (E1) decays which are predicted parameter-free through an extension of Schwinger's Partial Symmetry hypothesis, are found to be an important fraction of the total widths of the Q antiQ mesons
