AbstractAbstract
[en] To study generation of dibaryon resonances (DR) in deuteron electrodisintegration near the pion production threshold, inclusive d(e,e')np scattering is considered using the relativistic momentum approximation. Differential cross sections (DCS) of the studied process are determined, the energy dependence of calculated and experimental DCS data is presented. Electron spectra above the pion production threshold are studied and compared with the experimental data for d(e,e')np in case of backward electron scattering. The effect of DCS produced in the studied process on the behaviour of the electron energy spectrum is studied

AbstractAbstract
[en] The narrow peaks at positive Σ energies, observed in (K, π) reactions, are described in a simple model with the Λ channel taken explicitly into account. Because of the ΣΛ coupling, the Σ hypernuclear bound states acquire a width and are shifted upwards in energy. This leads to peaks in the DWIA cross section for the (K, π) reaction comparable with the observed ones. The width and position of the peaks agree with the complex eigenvalues of the unstable bound states in the Σ channel. (author)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The expression for the real infrared function B in an earlier paper is extended in this addendum to obtain the complete expression for B. This will facilitate comparison of the results in the earlier paper with those in its recent applications to SLAC Linear Collider and CERN LEP physics, wherein the non-infrared-divergent parts of B have been found to be numerically important for the highest precision. These latter parts of B were omitted earlier for pedagogical reasons. Hence, they are given in this addendum for reasons of practice

AbstractAbstract
[en] A theoretical analysis is made of experimental data on exclusive production, in πN collisions, of boson resonances with spin J≥2 lying on the ρ and line-integral Regge trajectories. The model is based on the approximation of Reggeized pion exchange and on the predictions of the quark-gluon picture of the strong interactions for the decays of resonances. Calculations of the contributions of cuts show that they do not substantially alter the predictions of one-pion exchange. The model provides a quantitative description of a large set of experimental data

AbstractAbstract
[en] Radiative transitions involving the ground state vector, axial-vector, and pseudoscalar mesons are studied non-perturbatively using equal-time commutation relations and the dynamical concept of asymptotic flavor SUF(N) symmetry. The importance of the SUF(N) singlet piece of the electromagnetic current when considering radiative decays and its relation to the experimental value of Γ is pointed out. In addition, we demonstrate theoretically the approximate degeneracy of the masses of a1(1260) and b1(1235) without making detailed assumptions about the structure of the 1++ and 1+- nonets. It is also shown that the presence of large mixing between the strange members of the 1++ and 1+- nonets is instrumental in causing this approximate degeneracy

AbstractAbstract
[en] We reanalyse the pionic form factor by using perturbative QCD theory and contributions from endpoint regions. We find that the perturbative QCD can be applied to the pionic form factor as Q2>4 GeV2 and they become unreliable as Q2≤4 GeV2. Therefore the applicability of perturbative QCD to the form factor is questionable only as Q2≤4 GeV2. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The paper examines the evidence for meson-exchanges in nuclei. Pion production associated with meson-exchange currents is considered, and it is suggested that meson exchange currents strongly modify the time component of axial transitions and the space component of vector transitions. Meson-exchange currents and the nucleon-nucleon potential, meson-exchange currents in axial and magnetic transitions, and higher order processes, are also discussed. (U.K.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The operator-product expansion will be employed to obtain the lowest-order, quark condensate component of both the gluon self-energy and the ρ meson correlation function to all orders in the quark mass parameter. Field-theoretic aspects of the self-energy and correlation function will be considered, and physical effects to the quark condensate upon gluon mass generation will be examined. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The old string model of ten years ago has been reborn as the flux tube model. As such, it offers the best model for low energy spectroscopy and decays. This paper describes the extension to nuclear physics, showing how the properties of hadrons are modified when they are embedded in nuclear matter
