AbstractAbstract
[en] We present the first general calculation of the flavor changing vertex in the standard-weak model. By ''general'' we mean: 1. Internal and external masses are not negleted with respect to Msub(W). 2. External quark momenta are arbitrary and can be off-shell too. We then apply it to calculate the neutron electric dipole moment with the result Dsub(n)/e approximately 10-34 cm and to the flavor changing processes e+e- → b antis, e+e- → t antic. We also mention the relevance of our work for setting limits on msub(t), for rare Z0 decays and for flavor changing strong transitions in B decays

AbstractAbstract
[en] The standard six-quark model of CP violation is in good phenomenological standing with regard to the observed pattern of CP violation in the neutral kaon system and with the experimental upper limit on the electric dipole moment of the neutron. In this work, B0 - antiB0 mixing and CP violation are studied in the standard model, and strong evidence against the observability of CP violation is presented. If a total charge asymmetry among primary leptons coming from B, antiB decay in e+e- annihilation at the UPSILON''' is observed in excess of 1/2%, the KM model as the primary source of CP violation in B decay is ruled out. This unequivocal statement about the standard model can be contrasted against other models, such as CP violating Higgs exchange or even the addition of a fourth quark doublet, where it is argued that such small values for CP violating observables are not expected

AbstractAbstract
[en] Arguments based on recent experimental information are presented to stress the necessity of going beyond the present formulation of Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD). A new theory, Anisotropic Chromo-Dynamics (ACD), based on the hadrodynamical pillars: quarks, colour and local symmetry, is discussed and its first successful steps in describing hadrons are outlined

AbstractAbstract
[en] Results are presented on a measurement of charm particle lifetimes. The data are from the EHS setting-up experiment NA16 which used the lexan bubble chamber LEBC exposed to 360 GeV/c π- and proton beams. All results are still being scrutinised and are therefore preliminary

AbstractAbstract
[en] Eleven neutral and nine charged decays of charmed particles have been observed in a sample of 205000 hadronic interactions in a 1.2 million picture exposure of the SLAC Hydrid Facility to a 20 GeV/c backward scattered laser beam. The charged and neutral lifetimes were determined to be 8.2sub(-2.5)sup(+4.5) x 10-13 sec and 6.7sub(-2.0)sup(+3.5) x 10-13 sec, respectively, with a ratio of 1.2sub(-0.5)sup(+0.9)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The first results obtained from an experiment, specifically designed to study prompt neutrinos, are discussed. While the measured total charm production cross section (25 +-5 μb) and ratio of prompt muon antineutrino and muon neutrino fluxes (0.80 +- 0.19) are well in line with the hypothesis of D and antiD central production followed by their semileptonic decays, it is hard to find a simple explanation for the value of the prompt electron neutrino + electron antineutrino to muon neutrino + muon antineutrino flux ratio determined to be 0.64 +- 0.16
