AbstractAbstract
[en] On the basis of perturbative quantum chromodynamics, we consider the bremsstrahlung energy losses of partons traversing parton matter using the well-known quantum electrodynamical formulas. We find the transport equation describing the energy distribution of partons as a function of thickness of a target. The equation is solved numerically and we briefly discuss the relevance of our results for hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies

AbstractAbstract
[en] With a view towards nuclear dynamics at intermediate energies, we develop a transport treatment for systems whose reduced one-body phase-space density exhibits a markovian time evolution. A moment expansion of the corresponding Fokker-Planck equation leads to closed equations for the temporal evolution of the ensemble average of the phase-space occupancy f(r, p) and its correlation function. The general properties of the associated relaxation processes are illustrated and the utility of the formulation for studies of nuclear collisions is discussed. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] The spectrum of muon pairs, created by pion annihilation π+π-→μ+μ-, is estimated in the framework of a string model for ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions. Applied to O+Au collisions at 200 A GeV for pair masses below 1.5 GeV the pion annihilation is more important than the Drell-Yan spectrum, whereas in the J/ψ mass region it is negligible. (orig.)

AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that αn and βn neutron polarizabilities can be determined by measuring asymmetry in the γ-vectord → γnp reaction with linearly polarized photons with 10-20% accuracy. The reaction cross section asymmetry is calculated in impulse approximation with distorted waves taking into account the contribution by meson exchange currents
