AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that energy must be conserved by the dissociation of an elementary particle. The energy deficit by a dissociation behaves as a basic concept. The binding energy of the deuteron is reproduced. 4 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] The method of asymptotic sum rules is used to study phenomenological Lagrangians in Skyrme models. The sum rules are used to obtain relationships for the parameters of the models and to estimate the coupling constants and mass of the scalar meson, which cannot be fixed in the ordinary model approach. It is shown that the sum-rule method and the heavy-meson limit in the effective chiral Lagrangian are in good agreement with each other. 6 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] A relativistic equation for a particle-antiparticle system with a Dirac oscillator interaction was derived in previous publications and solved by a perturbative procedure which led to a spectrum of bound states. In this paper we derived a radial equation for the system in question and show that, contrary to the perturbative analysis, it gives rise to a continuous spectrum but in which there are resonant states, i.e., those purely outgoing for certain complex energies, and we derived the latter by means of the 1/N expansion method. The spectrum of excitation energies, the strong interaction radii, and the decay widths of the resonant states of our model are calculated and compared with the corresponding experimental magnitudes for mesons with a pure quark composition and total angular momentum J=L. The emerging picture of Dirac oscillator mesons seems to be in qualitative agreement with meson phenomenology. (Author) 17 refs

AbstractAbstract
[en] The data collected during 1990 and 1991 LEP runs with the DELPHI detector have been analyzed to measure the probability χ for a B meson to undergo mixing before decay. A study based on events containing two identified leptons lying on opposite detector sides yielded χ=0.121±0.0400.044(stat.)±0.017(syst.); a comparison between the charge of a high pt muon and the one of the jet recoiling in the opposite direction gave χ=0.075±0.053 (stat. direct-sum syst.); the combined result is χ=0.101±0.035 (stat. direct-sum syst.). No signal of CP violation has been observed

AbstractAbstract
[en] Possible processes of production of the vector meson C(1480) → var-phi π, a candidate for exotic states, in electromagnetic processes are considered [photoproduction, e+e- →C(1480) → var-phi π0, and the reaction of production of C(1480) in the Coulomb field of a nucleus]. It is shown that coherent Coulomb production of the C(1480) meson allows one to determine the absolute value of BR[C(1480) → var-phi π], which is essential for the interpretation of the nature of this hadron. Possibilities of observing C(1480) mesons in e+e- collisions at the var-phi factory DAΦNE are studied. 27 refs., 12 figs., 1 tab
