Gadolinite material has wide range of applications in the field of materials science, ceramics as well as possible hosts for nuclear and other toxic waste due to their structural flexibility. (Y/Ce)2Fe2+Be2Si2O10 are most extensively studied gadolinite materials. In this work we have studied the metamict and recrystallization state of gadolinite. The different heat treated samples of gadolinite were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). (author)
